Caroline Vout is a British classicist and art historian. She is currently a reader in classics at the University of Cambridge and a fellow of Christ's College.〔(University of Cambridge Faculty of Classics )〕 ==Career== Vout was born in Durham.〔Vout 2012: 1〕 She read classics at Newnham College, Cambridge, graduating in 1991, before taking a master's degreein Roman and Byzantine Art at the Courtauld Institute.〔From the 'About the author' blurb, Vout: 2006〕 She then returned to Cambridge for her doctorate, which was supervised by Keith Hopkins and Mary Beard.
